Perry man arrested for sexually abusing a child

Police have arrested a Perry man accused of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl. According to court documents, the girl was with her family in late March when Jose Nevarez abused her. The abuse was reported when staff at Perry Elementary found a note the victim had written to another girl at school. PERRY, Iowa —

Police have arrested a Perry man accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.

According to court documents, the girl was with family in late March when Jose Nevarez abused her. The abuse was reported when staff at Perry Elementary found a note the victim had written to another girl at school.

Nevarez was arrested Friday and remains in the Dallas County Jail.
