Founding member of US band Train found dead after tragic accident

Charlie Colin, founding member of the US band Train, has died at the age of 58.

TMZ has reported that the Grammy-winning bassist died after slipping and falling in the shower. He was reportedly staying with friends in Brussels.

Charlie Colin’s band was known for their hits “Hey Soul Sister” and “Drops of Jupiter”.

Train praised Colin on Instagram as “a legend.”

“When I met Charlie Colin, I fell in love with him. He was THE nicest guy and what a handsome guy.”

“Let’s start a band, which is the only sensible thing to do. His unique bass playing and beautiful guitar work helped get people in SF and beyond to notice us.”
