Atlanta Falcons officially sign highly anticipated rookie Bralen Trice

The Atlanta Falcons announced that they have officially signed outside linebacker and edge rusher Bralen Trice to the team. OverTheCap.com signed Trice to a four-year contract valued at $5.93 million. His cap hit in 2024 will be $1.07 million.

The highly anticipated passer is the sixth of the Falcons’ eight 2024 NFL Draft picks to sign with the team. The only rookies remaining are first-round quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. and fourth-round pick Brandon Dorlus.

As one of the highest-rated players in this year’s draft class, the Falcons will count on Trice to produce more consistently than any other rookie. If you’re a Falcons fan, you know the story: there hasn’t been a reliable passer the organization can hang its hat on since John Abraham left in 2013. Trice seems to be that stabilizing piece at the exterior of The Strange Fronts of Jimmy Lake and Raheem Morris.

The hope is that Trice will be nothing more than a rotation player in this first year, meaning Arnold Ebiketie and Lorenzo Carter have taken the reins as the primary passers on this defense. That’s not to say that if called upon, Trice won’t be able to deliver on her promises.

As Trice continues to learn how to win at the NFL level, his effort and relentless drive should keep him able to make a huge contribution while he’s on the field.
