Police are searching for convicted child rapist who poses a “real danger to children and women”.

A convicted child rapist is wanted by police after breaching his license conditions and being recalled to prison.

He was jailed again last year for breaching a sexual harm prevention order after authorities discovered he had started a new relationship with a woman between September and December 2021 and had contact with her children.

Officers said he “deceived” the woman into staying with her family and while there was “no indication” that he “harmed or abused the children with whom he had contact,” he did knowingly violated his order preventing him from contacting people under his authority aged 18.

Police said he used the false name Stephen Johnson during this time.

According to the sex offender database, he also violated the reporting requirement.
