Two Joliet teens injured in drive-by shooting, police say – NBC Chicago

Joliet police are investigating after two teenagers were shot Saturday night. A 16-year-old girl was in critical condition following the attack.

According to authorities, the two were standing on the porch of a home in the 200 block of Henderson Avenue around 9:12 p.m. when someone in a passing truck opened fire.

According to police, one of the teens was taken to an area hospital after being shot multiple times. She was in critical condition and remained hospitalized Sunday.

Another teen, a 16-year-old boy, was shot in the arm and was treated and released.

Two other homes were also hit by gunfire, but no other injuries were reported.

Joliet police are seeking information about the silver Chevrolet Silverado involved in the shooting. The vehicle was seen traveling south on Henderson Avenue immediately after the shooting.

Anyone with footage or information is asked to call police at 815-724-3020. Will County detectives may also be accepting tips about the case, according to police.
