Amherst Police responded to a serious motorcycle accident on 290

AMHERST, NY – Amherst Police responded to a serious motorcycle accident that occurred Saturday morning on 290 West near Niagara Falls Boulevard.

“All three lanes are currently closed and impassable. Please avoid the area if possible,” said a police statement shortly before noon.

NITTEC reported that the westbound lanes of the 290 between Exits 4 and 5 – Millersport Highway to the 990 – were closed around 11:20 a.m
