54,000 Hyundai vehicles called out due to fuel pump problem – WGAU

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced the recall of more than 54,600 Hyundai vehicles due to a problem with the fuel pumps.

Pump failure may occur, which may result in vehicle power loss.

The recall affects some Veloster N models from 2019 to 2022, Genesis G70 models from 2019 to 2023, Elantra N models from 2022 and 2023, and Kona N models from 2022 and 2023.

The NHTSA said dealers will update the engine control module software and replace the pump unit if necessary. The repairs will be performed free of charge.

The owners will receive letters after September 9th.
