PSP REPORTS: TRAFFIC ACCIDENT, TOOL THEFT

State police have released information about a car accident that occurred on July 16^th in Center Township. Police say 74-year-old Bruce Heise of Blairsville was driving south on Route 119 near the intersection with Beech Street and ran a red light. He collided with a pickup truck driven by 70-year-old Cynthia Hatcher of Indiana as it turned into the intersection from Beech Street when the light turned green. Hatcher was uninjured, but Heise suffered suspected minor injuries and was taken to IRMC for treatment.

State police are investigating the theft of tools from a Green Township location earlier this month. Officials say someone managed to break into the home of a 57-year-old Cheery Tree man on Tipperary Road and steal nearly $5,000 worth of tools and equipment, including step ladders, a box of screwdriver bits, a propane fire log and other items. The investigation is ongoing.
