KCPD investigates homicide after 64-year-old man killed in shooting

Kansas City, Missouri police are trying to determine what led to a shooting that sent a man to an area hospital, where he died the next day. Officers were called to the 3400 block of North Cleveland Avenue around 4 p.m. Friday as part of the investigation into a carjacking. When they arrived, officers found a man near Northeast 34th Street and Northeast Chouteau Trafficway. Police said the man was found in a vehicle and had an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, where he died Saturday. The victim was identified as 64-year-old Anthony R. Brown. This incident is now being investigated as a homicide.
