Buffalo police make arrest after shooting on Elmwood Avenue

A 28-year-old man told police he was shot in the arm around 11:45 p.m., a police spokesman said.

Detectives began investigating and arrested Vincent Foster, 39, on Sunday, the spokesman said.

Foster was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was treated at Erie County Medical Center and later released.
