Joe Mixon Says Houston Production Will Be ‘Night and Day’ Compared to Cincinnati

CINCINNATI — Joe Mixon’s play on the field has become increasingly less effective in recent years. Still, he says his production in Houston will be “night and day” compared to what it was in Cincinnati.

The veteran spoke to the media this weekend ahead of training camp.

“That’s a story for all of you,” Mixons said of his age. “But I mean, the running backs that I see that are close to 28-30-31-32, they’re in great shape right now. So my hopes are high. I know what type of player I am, and I’m not here to speak for everybody, but for me, I know for a fact that as long as I’m in a good position to win, it’s going to be night and day compared to where I was in Cincinnati.”

The numbers show he’s a veteran at this point. That’s one of the main reasons Cincinnati traded him to Houston.
