Kurnool DIG suspends two officials

Kurnool: Kurnool Range DIG, CH Vijaya Rao has suspended a Circle Inspector and a Sub-Inspector for their negligence in the Mucchumarri girl case. missing case on Wednesday. In a press release, the DIG has stated that Nandikotkur police station inspector O Vijaya Bhaskar and Mucchumarri sub-inspector R Jaya Sekhar have been neglecting their duties. Due to the dereliction of their duties, suspension orders have been served on them, the DIG stated.

It may be recalled that on July 7, a 9-year-old girl from New Mucchumarri village went missing. Later, she was killed by three minors and thrown into the Krishna river. The body of the minor girl has not been found till date. The police have taken three minors into custody and arrested two persons in connection with the case. The two persons, who happened to be the parents of the minors, were produced before the court on Tuesday.
