Pedestrian killed in Blaine crash – Twin Cities

According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was struck and killed by an SUV in Blaine on Thursday.

Police and EMS responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on University Avenue Northeast at 6:33 p.m. The woman was crossing the street westbound on 85th Street. The SUV, driven by an adult male, was traveling southbound.

The press release stated that attempts were made to save the woman’s life, but that the woman’s death was pronounced at the scene of the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
