Houston teen killed: A 14-year-old boy was shot while inside the Plaza at Hobby Airport apartments on Broadway Street, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed early Thursday morning while he was inside a southeast Houston apartment, police said.

It happened around 12:47 a.m. at the Plaza at Hobby Airport apartment complex, 8501 Broadway.

The teenager was shot multiple times when a gunman fired through the window and into a bedroom.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The suspect, a man in his 20s wearing a dark hoodie and light-colored sweatpants, was last seen running toward the north side of the apartment complex.

He fled before the police arrived.

Authorities said the shooting may have been targeted, but they are still asking for the public’s help with information about what happened.
