Suspect captured after police pursuit ends in Sevierville, Tennessee

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – A suspect is in police custody after leading multiple law enforcement agencies on a chase that ended Thursday in Sevierville.

Sevierville police reported the chase began after an alleged incident in Gatlinburg. The suspect fled and the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol attempted to stop him, SPD said.

Eventually, the suspect entered Sevierville and an SPD officer attempted to stop him. Police reported the suspect collided with a patrol car near Eastgate Road and Robert Henderson Road and then attempted to flee on foot. According to the police, they were then quickly arrested.

Sevierville police said there were no serious injuries in the accident.
