Nicholas Wotnoske, a custodian for the Racine Unified School District, was arrested on July 8 after an extensive investigation by the Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit revealed that he possessed a significant amount of child sexual abuse material. Investigators, with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office of Criminal Investigation, executed a search warrant on Wotnoske’s residence in the Village of Caledonia. During the search, K-9 Stella, an electronic storage detection dog, successfully identified various electronic devices containing illegal material. Wotnoske admitted to downloading, possessing and distributing child pornography, including over 44,000 illegal images. He is currently being held in the Racine County Jail on $937,500 bail. The charges against Wotnoske include 15 counts of possession of child pornography and 15 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Nicholas Wotnoske, a custodian for the Racine Unified School District, was arrested on July 8 after an extensive investigation by the Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit revealed that he was in possession of a significant amount of child sexual abuse material.

With the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau, investigators executed a search warrant on Wotnoske’s residence in the Village of Caledonia.

During the search, electronic storage detection dog K-9 Stella successfully identified various electronic items containing illegal material.
