Two vehicles explode after accident on the South Side, police say

SAN ANTONIO – According to San Antonio police, two vehicles exploded after an accident on the south side on Saturday.

The accident occurred around 10 a.m. on Saturday at the intersection of West Gerald Avenue and Commercial Avenue.

According to SAPD, a truck driver ignored a stop sign after thinking the road was clear.

According to police, another vehicle coming from Commercial Avenue collided with the truck.

After the collision, police said, the truck turned and hit a third vehicle that was waiting at a stop sign.

The two vehicles exploded because there was a gasoline tank on the truck bed.

The three drivers suffered minor injuries and were freed at the scene of the accident.
