Forsyth man killed, five others injured in crash near Bull Creek

TANEY COUNTY, Missouri – One person was killed and five others injured in an accident near Bull Creek on Highway F in Taney County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the accident occurred on July 3 at around 6:17 p.m.


A westbound Ford F550 lost control and crossed the centerline of Highway F, according to MSHP. The truck struck the left side of a GMC Envoy and then the front of a pickup truck.

The driver of the van, 45-year-old Jared A. Thrapp of Forsyth, died at the scene. Two other passengers in the van – a 38-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy – were taken to a Springfield hospital with injuries, MSHP said.

According to MSHP, two girls, ages 17 and 7, were in the GMC along with the driver. All three were taken to a hospital in Branson.

This is the 48th MSHP Troop D fatality in 2024.
