Man arrested for first-degree murder in connection with fentanyl overdose in Franklin County, Tennessee

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Officials in Franklin County have arrested a man for his connection to a drug sale that reportedly resulted in a fentanyl overdose.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office reported that Robert Lee Nevin was arrested on Tuesday, July 2, on charges of both first-degree murder and manufacture, sale, or delivery of a controlled substance.


They added that Nevin was arrested over three months ago for being in possession of more than 1,500 pills suspected of containing fentanyl.

He is currently being held on $250,000 bail. Nevin is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, July 16.

Nevin’s arrest comes at a time when law enforcement in the state of Tennessee is stepping up efforts to hold dealers accountable for drug-related deaths.
