One person hospitalized after incident on Banshee roller coaster at Kings Island

MASON, Ohio (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A person was hospitalized Wednesday night after reportedly being struck by the Banshee roller coaster at Kings Island. According to a statement from the theme park, the person entered a restricted area near the roller coaster around 8 p.m. and was presumably struck.

The person was taken to UC Medical Center and their condition is currently unknown.

Kings Island officials said, “Kings Island continues to place great importance on the well-being of guests and their families.” The park also announced that the Banshee ride will remain closed while park staff and local officials conduct an investigation.
