Police: DC shooting victim found dead in car crash in Prince George’s County

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police said a Washington, D.C., shooting victim was found Saturday following a car crash in Prince George’s County.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of Howard Road SE shortly before 9:40 p.m. Police saw evidence that a shooting had occurred but did not find any victims.

According to a press release, officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) responded just “moments later” to a multi-vehicle crash in the 2400 block of Southern Ave. SE.

The PGPD found an unconscious and unresponsive man at the scene of the accident who had been shot. The man died there.

Police determined the man, 19-year-old Demetrius Creek of Southeast DC, was injured in the shooting on Howard Road.
