Kenya Moore was suspended indefinitely from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta“ (RHOA) is currently filming its 16th season.

This shocking development comes after Moore reportedly showed posters with explicit images of the franchise newcomer Brittany Eady at the grand opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta, Georgia, last week.

The incident

According to a source familiar with Entertainment tonightthe photos were “allegedly found on the Internet”.

Eady later addressed the controversy on social media, expressing her dismay: “It’s never a good feeling to be targeted or bullied by someone who I thought was going to welcome me into a new circle but who I’ve never met.”

Bravo cameras reportedly filmed the cast event at the time, and the network is still reviewing the content Kenya showed during filming.

Following the alleged incident, Kenya defended herself on X (formerly Twitter): “I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed anyone’s private images or footage, nor have I requested images from others to threaten or blackmail. I have always been vindicated. I cannot speak on STORY even when people spread fake news.”

She also added in her Instagram story: “Don’t believe half of what you hear and half of what you see. The truth always comes out.”

Kenya Moore’s response

A few hours after the news of the suspension broke, Kenya went live on Instagram and commented directly on the situation.

When presenting her newly opened hair salon, she admitted that she needed “a little bit of affection” because “there is just a lot going on there.”

Kenya highlighted her perspective as a single mother and entrepreneur who faces unjust criticism.

“I will never understand how people go to so much trouble to smear your name or ruin your business,” she complained.

“Leave me alone. I’m a single mother. I’m just like everyone else here. I don’t get child support, I don’t get anything. I take care of my daughter alone.”

She urged her fans to support her during this difficult time, saying, “I’m blessed. I just want people to stop ruining another black woman’s business. It’s not that bad. I don’t harass people unless they harass me.”

Despite the turmoil, Kenya remained resilient and optimistic. “I’m always on the winning side, you know? It’s in my blood. Success is all around me. So I accept that. God gave me this, but I also give back as much as I can,” she said.

Kenya assured her followers that they would “see her soon” despite the ongoing controversy.

Support from other housewives

During her live stream, several of her colleagues showed their support.

Porsha Williams commented: “We love you!!” and praised Kenya as “Queen”.

Drew Sidora also expressed kind words, along with Shamea Morton And Angela Oakley.

Although Kelli Ferrell watched, she said nothing and just let Cynthia Baileywho is believed to be working outside the country, and Brittany Eady, with whom the reported drama is taking place in Kenya, were not mentioned.

Earlier in the day, a source told ET: “Kenya was suspended for allegedly showing Brittany in a sexual act at the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta. The images were allegedly sourced from the internet. The network is still reviewing the content Kenya showed during filming.”

ET can confirm that Brittany and the rest of the cast are still filming, but it remains unclear if Kenya will return to the show following this incident.
