Frank Cabrera rapes woman and then steals her car – Scoop: Nashville

Frank Cabrera, 41, was taken into custody on June 6 on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated rape, sexual assault and two counts of theft.thOn 26 MaythA woman reported being sexually assaulted by a man she knew as “Juan,” who was later identified as Cabrera. She stated that she met him at the 404 Bar & Grill and they went to her apartment building to hang out in her car in a public place. Before they left, she said, he had his friend get his phone from a red Toyota Tundra.

Once at the condominium, he asked for a beer, so she got it for him because she didn’t want him to enter her apartment, but Cabrera came in anyway, picked her up, laid her on the countertop while he groped her breasts and took off her bra. After she told him she didn’t want that, he threw her on her bed, took off her pants, and penetrated her vagina with his fingers until she ripped off his necklace and strangled him with a charger cord until he stopped.

When he left, she locked the door behind him. While she prepared to take a shower, Cabrera reentered her apartment and looked for his necklace. That’s when she told him to leave. She grabbed her phone and started to call police, at which point he fled, taking her car keys and purse. Footage from the apartment building corroborated her statements and showed him getting into her car and driving away. Her car was found at a nearby gas station. Cameras showed him parking at the pump, driving to the Lowe’s parking lot, and wandering to the loading dock until he was picked up in a red Toyota Tundra. The location had private license plate readers that showed the Tundra was registered to Cabrera. Warrants were issued for his arrest on June 5.thHe was later arrested for the incident.

Frank Cabrera was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on June 6. He was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated rape, sexual assault and two counts of theft. A corrections commissioner set his bail at $137,000.
