The cause and manner of death are being determined by the Allegheny County Coroner. Police did not release any further details but thanked people who helped with the search.

Pittsburgh police had asked the public for help in locating him after he was last seen in the Central Northside neighborhood on the evening of May 22.

Mohamed El-Hadi Mohamed immigrated to the United States from Sudan almost a year ago to escape the war. While waiting to finish medical school, he worked at 40 North Alphabet City.

“He is so kind, a nice person. He cares about us, his family, his sister and his brother,” his sister Hiba Mohamed told KDKA-TV earlier this week, asking for help in the search.
