Woman arrested one week after shooting at California Dreaming

CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – Charleston Police have identified and arrested a woman in connection with a shooting at a West Ashley restaurant.

According to police, 30-year-old Kresha Simmons is accused of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

The incident occurred on the evening of May 24 in the kitchen of California Dreaming.

Simmons is accused of shooting a co-worker during an argument over work-related matters. Police said there were customers in the restaurant at the time, but no one was injured.

The victim was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) with non-life threatening injuries.

Simmons was arrested Friday and is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
