Cyclone Remal: subway service suspended

Due to bad weather, authorities suspended subway services this morning (May 27).

Mahfuzur Rahman, manager of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd, said the metro service was suspended due to lack of uninterrupted power supply as a result of bad weather.

Steps are being taken to normalise subway traffic, he added.

The suspension of subway services caused enormous problems for commuters this morning.
