BALTIMORE, MD – The Maryland Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Orange Air Quality Warning for the Baltimore area for Saturday.

An orange air quality warning means that air pollution levels in the area may be harmful to sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people with asthma, heart disease or other lung conditions, and the elderly.

The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous outdoor activities or sports.

Further information on ground-level ozone and fine dust can be found here on the Internet.
