Investigation launched after shooting of deputy sheriff in Manatee County

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities are investigating after a deputy sheriff was shot in Manatee County.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation after a deputy was shot in the arm in the 6300 block of Cortez Road, West in Bradenton.

Officials added that the suspect is in custody.
