Suspect arrested in public nuisance case

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man suspected of exposing himself to several women in the unincorporated Mount Helix area was arrested Tuesday, authorities said.

John Jeffrey Lynn was arrested at the San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of sexual battery, Lt. Michael Gonzales of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release Thursday. He posted $10,000 bail and was released from jail on Wednesday.


According to authorities, between April 28 and May 21 at around 7 p.m., several women reported seeing a man wearing a hat, sunglasses and a hoodie to conceal his face in the area of ​​Mt. Helix Drive and Mt. Helix Park. The man was driving an olive green Subaru Outback with an obscured license plate.

On Tuesday evening, officers on patrol near Grosalia Avenue and Pandora Drive around the same time noticed the suspect driving an SUV and stopped next to a woman who was walking in the area, police said. The woman told officers the driver exposed himself and drove away.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested a short time later.
