Coroner identifies man killed in shooting near Dayton apartment complex – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

DAYTON — A man is dead after a shooting near an apartment complex in Dayton Monday evening.

News Center 7’s Mike Campbell is working to learn more about this shooting and will have the latest information on News Center 7 at 5:30 p.m.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office identified 44-year-old Tyrans McGuire as the victim.

After 10 p.m., Dayton police and paramedics were dispatched to the 1700 block of W. Stewart Street for reports of a male accident, a Montgomery County dispatcher confirmed.

Dayton Police Sergeant Shawn Olinger told News Center 7 that emergency crews responded to a shooting.

Videos and photos from our crew on scene show the area surrounded by crime scene tape and the investigation by multiple officers.

This shooting is being investigated by the Dayton Police Department.
