Organ donation: Organs donated to a young accident victim | Chandigarh News

Panchkula: The family of an 18-year-old girl, Preet of Jind, who met with an accident on April 29, donated her organs. Preet was declared brain dead on May 11 at a private hospital in Panchkula. Her liver was flown to Max Hospital in Delhi, the pancreas and a kidney were shifted to PGIMER in Chandigarh, a kidney was donated to a kidney failure patient at the same hospital in Panchkula. A green corridor has been created between the private hospital in Panchkula and Max Hospital in New Delhi and PGIMER in Chandigarh. Dr. Mukta, civil surgeon in Panchkula, thanked the family for the decision. DCP Panchkula Himadri Kaushik, Dr. Sukhbir Brar, in-charge SOTTO, Haryana and Panchkula Police supported the noble cause.
