Daphne Joy, 50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend, denies working for Diddy as a sex worker after filing a lawsuit

Daphne Joy, rapper 50 Cent’s former girlfriend, is defending herself against a recent accusation about her professional relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Joy was named along with City Girls rapper Yung Miami in an amended civil lawsuit filed by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Jr., who is suing Combs for sexual assault and harassment. Jones alleged in the filing that Joy and Yung Miami were among the women “who received a monthly fee to work as Mr. Combs’ sex workers.”

Joy responded to the allegation in an Instagram post on Thursday, threatening possible legal action against Jones.

“The lies in Rodney Jones’ lawsuit hurt me deeply,” Joy wrote. “The claim that I am a sex worker is 100% false and character assassination. I am retaining an attorney to review all legal remedies against Rodney and his attorney.”

In a separate post, the actress also took aim at her ex 50 Cent. The rapper appeared to downplay Jones’ claim to Joy in an Instagram post on Wednesday, writing, “I didn’t know you were a sex worker 👀you little sex worker.” LOL 😆Yo that’s a movie.”

In the post, Joy addressed 50 Cent by his birth name, Curtis James Jackson, and criticized the “Candy Shop” host for “wreaking real havoc, frenzy and chaos in people’s lives.” She also criticized her ex-boyfriend for his alleged sexual abuse and his lack of involvement in their son’s life (the former couple has 12-year-old son Sire).

“Let’s put the real focus on your true evil deeds of raping and physically abusing me,” Joy wrote. “You are no longer my oppressor and my God will deal with you from now on. With these last and final false allegations against me, you have permanently destroyed the last hope that I had for you as a father to preserve our family. You broke our hearts for the last and final time.”

50 Cent seeks sole custody of son with Daphne Joy as part of Diddy lawsuit

In an emailed statement to USA TODAY on Thursday, 50 Cent said the “disturbing allegations” about Joy’s Jones lawsuit against Diddy have “required me to take all necessary legal action to protect my son.”

The rapper also dismissed Joy’s Instagram statement as retaliation against him for requesting sole custody of Sire as part of the lawsuit.

“Daphne Joy’s recent false and baseless allegations are clearly in response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son,” 50 Cent said. “My son Sire is my top priority and my only focus at this time is keeping him in a safe environment.”

Diddy’s Los Angeles, Miami homes are searched by Homeland Security Investigations

Jones’ amended complaint follows raids on two of Combs’ homes. The homes were searched by HSI on Monday as part of a federal investigation.

According to Rolling Stone and local Los Angeles news station Fox 11, federal agents searched Combs’ Los Angeles home on Monday while accusers filed lawsuits against him, alleging that the rapper and music mogul raped or sexually assaulted them. Agents also searched Combs’ Miami residence on Monday, Rolling Stone and The Associated Press reported.

The day after the raid on Combs’ home, attorney Aaron Dyer insisted on the rapper’s innocence and criticized the federal invasion for its “gross excessive use of military force.”

“This unprecedented ambush – coupled with a progressive, coordinated media presence – results in a premature verdict on Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on unsubstantiated allegations in civil litigation,” Dyer said in a statement to USA TODAY on Tuesday.
