Albemarle man arrested for concealing death of 17-year-old

ALBEMARLE, N.C. — Albemarle police arrested a man after allegedly covering up the death of a 17-year-old.

Police were called to the 2900 block of Floral Drive around 4:30 Friday morning. Police there said they believe 17-year-old Baylee Carter is dead.

After an investigation, police arrested 20-year-old Joshua Biles and charged him with obstruction of a felony and concealment of death.

Biles is in the custody of the Stanly County Jail.

Authorities are still working to find Carter’s remains.
