IMPD finds dead person while responding to disturbance on southwest side of Indy

INDIANAPOLIS – Police found a person dead while responding to a disturbance in southwest Indianapolis on Friday.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 7100 block of Vega Way on a report of a disturbance. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man unresponsive.

IMPD said paramedics arrived at the scene to assist law enforcement. The man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Public police reporting systems show officers first responded to the area around 1:11 p.m
