Baton Rouge police investigate shooting that left one dead and one injured

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (BRPROUD) – Baton Rouge Police responded to a shooting that left one person dead and another injured around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.

According to BRPD, one man was killed and one person was hospitalized after a shooting in the 11,000 block of North Harrells Ferry Road.


They said the man died at the scene.

The person who was taken to the hospital suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to BRPD.

According to EMS, the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office has arrived at the scene.

Investigators are still looking for a suspect and a motive in connection with this shooting.
