U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly has introduced a resolution honoring the life of Corey Comperatore, the man killed in an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump when shots rang out at a rally in Butler County earlier this month. Kelly said more than 70 lawmakers co-signed the resolution. The resolution honors Comperatore and describes the former firefighter’s “selfless and courageous life” as a husband, father and U.S. Army Reserve veteran. You can read the full resolution here.

BUTLER, Pennsylvania —

U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly has introduced a resolution honoring the life of Corey Comperatore, the man killed when gunfire erupted during the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler County earlier this month.

Kelly said more than 70 lawmakers co-signed the resolution honoring Comperatore and describing the former firefighter’s “selfless and courageous life” as a husband, father and U.S. Army Reserve veteran.
