  • A light breeze with gusts of 15-25 mph over the weekend will fan the fires and encourage their growth.

Temperatures will remain 5-10 degrees above normal throughout the weekend. A strong ridge of high pressure will form aloft tonight, bringing extremely hot temperatures this weekend.

Rain is coming Sunday morning. Rain will be light and scattered in the lower elevations, but the Cascades and Blue Mountains may see thunderstorms with possible isolated lightning through Monday morning. Winds will also increase Sunday, with gusts up to 30 mph in north-central Oregon.

At the start of the working week, a low pressure system will bring cooler temperatures and milder conditions with highs of over 30 degrees and up to 35 degrees Celsius.
