Three drunk women attack police officers outside bar in Maharashtra, abuse them and are arrested

They bit a policewoman’s hand and tore her uniform.

New Delhi:

A late-night party turned ugly for three women after they were allegedly drunkenly arrested for attacking and abusing police officers.

The drama unfolded in Virar’s Gokul township, a prominent residential area on the outskirts of Mumbai, when police were called after some women were reportedly causing a ruckus outside a restaurant bar. They allegedly had an argument with some other patrons at the bar and were asked to leave.

In a video that went viral on social media platforms, they can be seen getting into an altercation with the police officers and manhandling them.

They also bit a policewoman’s hand and tore her uniform.

Another officer was attacked in the head with a bucket and his wrist was bitten, police said.

The video also showed one of the girls trying to calm her friends down.

All three women, identified as Kavya, Ashwini and Poonam, were arrested and sent to judicial custody.
