Moliere convicted in Lyon County child rape case

Antoine Molière was found guilty of raping a child.

The trial concluded shortly after noon Wednesday in Lyon County District Court when the jury found Moliere guilty of raping a child who was no older than five at the time of the alleged abuse between early February and mid-April of last year. The jury deliberated for about two hours before returning its verdict.

The verdict will be announced on August 30th at 1:15 p.m.

Moliere was already on the sex offender list for life after being convicted in Maryland in 2005 of sexually abusing a minor in 2003.
