Terrell Davis dragged from plane in handcuffs after incident with flight attendant

Terrell Davis was handcuffed and escorted off a plane following an incident with a flight attendant over the weekend … but the Denver Broncos legend insists he did nothing wrong.

The scene occurred after Davis said he and his family boarded a United Airlines flight from Denver to Orange County on Saturday.

The two-time Super Bowl winner said in an Instagram post on Monday that his son had asked a flight attendant for a cup of ice during drink service … but when the steward did not respond to the request, Davis said he leaned over and calmly tapped the man’s arm to get his attention.

However, Davis says the guy freaked out… and yelled “Don’t hit me” before running from the area.

Davis says he had no further contact with the man during the entire flight. But when the plane landed in California, “the pilot asked all passengers to remain seated” – and six police officers, including some from the FBI, jumped on board and immediately handcuffed him.

“I was then taken off the flight and filmed by several passengers while the officers led me off the plane in handcuffs,” Davis said.

However, a short time later, Davis was cleared of any wrongdoing… He wrote on IG, “The agents apologized profusely” and even offered to “help me and my family in any way possible.”

Davis is now demanding an explanation from United Airlines… and is apparently threatening to sue the airline over the incident. He claims the flight attendant may have caused him irreparable harm by making false accusations.

“These lies and the events that followed have the potential to damage the reputation I have built over decades,” Davis said, “and this person should not be able to do this to anyone in the future.”

The FBI said in a statement to TMZ Sports On Sunday, his agents responded to a report of an incident on an airplane at John Wayne Airport … and detained one person for further questioning.

The FBI did not name Davis, but added that the individual “cooperated with law enforcement and was released to continue his journey.”

Davis, 51, played seven seasons in the NFL from 1995 to 2001 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
