The taste of Buffalo returns this weekend

The country’s largest two-day food festival kicks off today.

The Taste of Buffalo will take over Niagara Square and Delaware Ave this weekend with all the great food the Nickel City is known for.

Presented by Tops Friendly Markets, the culinary festivities will begin Saturday at 11 a.m. and continue until 9 p.m.

Barrel Factory Kitchen, Genevieve’s Cheesecakes & Bake Shop and Resurgence Brewing Company are among the participants.

Delaware Avenue from Chippewa Street to Niagara Square will be closed to traffic during the tasting.

Portions of other streets will also be closed, including:

• All arteries of Niagara Square and Niagara Square
• Delaware between Chippewa and W. Eagle
• W. Mohawk between Delaware and Elmwood
• Mohawk between Delaware and Franklin
• Huron West between Delaware and Elmwood
• Huron between Delaware and Franklin
• Cary between Delaware and Elmwood

These streets will remain closed until late Sunday evening.
