Two people arrested in ongoing prostitution investigation in Boaz | News

Boaz police said two arrests were made Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation into a prostitution case.

According to police, Joann Shiao was arrested at Aroma Therapy Spa and charged with prostitution and promoting prostitution.

Police also arrested Jian Zhang of Pro Massage for promoting prostitution.

Both were taken to the prison in the city of Boaz.

According to police, investigators managed to obtain video footage and customer logs from the stores.

The investigation is ongoing and police say additional witnesses, customers and clients will be contacted.

The Alabama Massage Therapy Licensing Board assisted the Boaz Police Department.
