Bear attack caught on video, barreling towards car and shattering windshield

Bear attack

The video shows Bear Bash’s windshield…

Car caught between mother and cub?

A couple of collectors found themselves in a hair-raising situation out in Japan: They were racing down the road in a forest when a bear attacked their car and broke the window… all on camera.

Check out this wild footage from Hokkaido last week… the car is driving along what appears to be a designated road – when suddenly a bear comes running out of nowhere, runs towards the car at top speed and makes contact.

It’s easy to forget just how big the lumbering creatures can be, but the video is a stark reminder – as the wild animal covers a significant distance in a matter of seconds before repeatedly hitting the windshield with its heavy paws, shattering it to pieces.

The driver makes the only move he can: he presses the accelerator and drives as fast as he can down the winding dirt road – with the windshield obviously broken.

According to local reports, both the driver and passenger in the car were uninjured… and a wildlife expert told some local outlets that the car may have accidentally gotten between the mother and her cub, leading to all the commotion.

Bear attacks appear to be sporadic for these reasons… Remember, in 2022, a mountain climber was descending Mount Futago in Japan when a black bear ran toward him – and also appeared to be protecting his cub. The climber fought back with a series of kicks and punches.

Pretty scary situation…but we suppose it’s all part of going outdoors. Be prepared!
