Buffalo Council amends project approval letter – Sheridan Media

An amendment to a previous letter of approval issued by the Buffalo City Council was discussed at this week’s meeting.

The letter was sent to the Wyoming Department of Transportation, acknowledging the overall costs involved and the city’s project costs added to WYDOT’s Main Street Reconstruction project, which is expected to begin this spring.

The problem, according to Mayor Shane Schrader, is that costs are higher than initially anticipated, necessitating the amendment.

The total cost of the lighting portion of the project came to just under $335,000, with the city’s matching share coming in at just over $160,000.

The council authorized the mayor to sign the revised letter of approval for the project.
