Bhopal: A 22-year-old woman was sexually harassed on Saturday night. The case was registered at Jahangirabad police station. The accused was arrested from the spot. Police said the complainant and the accused were both boxers and had known each other for several years. Police said they were in a relationship in the past but the survivor later broke up while the accused insisted that she stay with him. Police said the survivor was studying here and was staying in a town in MP while the accused was a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Police said the accused came to Bhopal to meet her and they met at a restaurant in Jahangirabad area. The accused wanted the survivor to come with him to a hotel but she refused. Police said the accused then tried to blackmail the survivor and showed her some pictures and videos of her. The accused continued to pressurise and threaten the survivor and sexually harassed her when she refused. Police said the survivor was left with no other option. She called 100 and police arrested the accused. Police said the accused and the survivor had met in the past at a championship and became friends but later he started harassing the survivor, police said, adding the accused was produced in the court on Sunday and the case was still under investigation.
