Anderson man raped children and bribed them with candy, police say – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana Traffic

ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – Anderson, Ind. Police say 41-year-old Kevin Germain of Anderson repeatedly raped children and bribed them with candy over several years.

According to court documents, two juveniles came forward to police and the Indiana Department of Child Services and described situations in which Germain forced a boy to perform sexual acts and then rewarded him with candy.

The victim said this happened 11 to 15 times between 2016 and 2017.

That child described Germain engaging in sexual acts with another female juvenile, police said.

The underage woman told police that Germain had raped her for several years, most recently in June 2024.

According to police, the teenager also stated that Germain showed her videos of “people without clothes” and told her not to tell anyone because he did not want to go back to prison.

According to police, Germain denied the allegations, was arrested and charged with child abuse (a Level 1 felony) and sexual abuse of a minor (a Level 4 felony).

Germain was convicted in 2011 of assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury. He was sentenced to four years in prison.
