After a plane went off the runway, operations at Senegal’s main airport, located near the capital Dakar, were suspended.

In a late-night video shared on social media, a plane bearing the insignia of Senegalese airline Transair could be seen in the grass, its wings coated with foam used to put out fires.

The airline is headquartered at the airport in Blaise Diagne and serves both international and domestic routes throughout West Africa.

According to media reports, the aircraft was a Boeing 737-38J.
