Freedom Over Texas Concert, Fireworks, Street Closures on July 4th

Fireworks are illegal in the city of Houston, but the annual event at Eleanor Tinsley Park near downtown is a great place to watch them!

HOUSTON — Tens of thousands of people are expected to flock to Houston for Shell’s Texas Freedom Celebration, which will be held at Eleanor Tinsley Park along Allen Parkway. Enjoy six hours of live music, lawn games and a children’s fun zone with games and rides.

This year’s headliner is country-pop artist Russell Dickerson, and the 2024 lineup also includes Jo Dee Messina and Chapel Hart. Check out the full lineup of shows.

The star of the show will be a fireworks display the size of Texas with the magnificent downtown skyline as a backdrop.

OR: Eleanor Tinsley Park along Allen Parkway
