Multiple weekend closures north of Houston

As the weekend approaches, we know it’s time to look ahead to weekend construction. If you live in the Upstate, repair work will be carried out on the highway.

Weekend work

The Texas Department of Transportation recently announced several closures that will begin Friday evening. This road work will be a continuation of Beltway 8 roadway repairs and I-45 (North Freeway) bridge repairs. Drivers should expect delays throughout the weekend. If you are traveling near work zones, go slowly and be aware of crews and equipment. Since we are now in hurricane season, keep in mind that closures are subject to change due to severe weather.

Large closures

• I-45/North HOV lane:

Farm from 9 p.m. Friday June 28 to 4 a.m. Sunday June 30

• Southbound I-45/North Freeway entrance ramp from West Road:

Farm from 9 p.m. Friday June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday July 1

• Southbound I-45/North Freeway between West and W. Mount Houston Roads:

Several alternative routes closed from 9 p.m. Friday June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday July 1.

• Northbound I-69/Eastex connector ramp to westbound Beltway 8:

Farm from 8 p.m. Friday June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday July 1

• I-69/Eastex southbound connector ramp to westbound Beltway 8:

Farm from Friday June 28 at 8 p.m. to Monday July 1 at 5 a.m.

• Beltway 8, eastbound main lanes, between I-45/North Freeway and Imperial Valley Drive:

One left lane permanently closed from 8 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Eastbound Ring Road 8 entrance ramp from Imperial Valley Drive:

Farm from noon on Wednesday, June 26 to 5 a.m. on Monday, December 16

• Mainline 8 eastbound between Imperial Valley Drive and Aldine Westfield Road:

One left lane closed continuously from noon on Wednesday June 26 to 5 a.m. Monday December 16

• Ring Road 8 Westbound Entrance Ramp from Lee Road:

Farm from 8 p.m. Friday June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday July 1

• Beltway 8 main lanes westbound between I-69/Eastex and the exit ramp to Hardy Toll Road/East Hardy Road:

Several alternative routes closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Westbound Beltway 8 entrance ramp from John F. Kennedy Boulevard:

Farm from 8 p.m. Friday June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday July 1

• 8-lane main beltway westbound between the Aldine Westfield Road exit and Imperial Valley Drive:

Farm from 9 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Westbound 8-lane main beltway between the Hardy Toll Road/East Hardy Road exit and Imperial Valley Drive:

Farm from 9 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1

• Westbound Beltway 8 entrance ramp from Aldine Westfield Road:

Farm from 8 p.m. Friday, June 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, December 16

• Mainline 8 westbound between Aldine Westfield Road and Imperial Valley Drive:

One left lane permanently closed from 5 a.m. Monday, July 1 to 5 a.m. Monday, December 16
