14-year-old girl arrested for murder of Breaking the Chains founder’s daughter

A 14-year-old girl has been arrested for the murder of Kendra McIntyre, the daughter of Breaking the Chains founder Debra Rush.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Kendra was shot on March 21 while walking near 70th and Figueroa Streets in Los Angeles.

She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

South Bureau Homicide Detectives investigated and identified a 14-year-old female as a murder suspect.

On May 6, investigators arrested the teen without incident.

On Tuesday, May 7, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office filed murder charges against her.

Breaking the Chains is a Fresno-based nonprofit organization that works with local, state and federal law enforcement to provide hope, healing and restoration to lives affected by human trafficking.
